Li Hongtao, Chief Engineer of CNNIC, is currently responsible for the technology development, research on cutting-edge technologies and international technical exchange. He has solid technical background and years of experience in domain name industry. He has international outlook and broad connection with registries, registrars and other domain name communities. Besides expertise on technology, he has important experience in policy making. Now Li Hongtao serves as Vice Chair of APTLD Board until February 2025.
APTLD (Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association) is an organization for ccTLD (country-code Top Level Domain) registries, among others, in Asia Pacific region. APTLD works as the forum of information exchange regarding technological and operational issues of domain name registries in Asia Pacific region.
