Wang Lang
Vice Chair of ICANN GAC
Wang Lang serves as Vice Director of the International Affairs Department of CNNIC. He has a solid technological background, and is familiar with Domain Name System (DNS), Shared Registry System (SRS), and Registration Data Directory Services. Wang Lang participated in several key projects, such as the National Engineering Lab for Naming and Addressing and China Next Generation Infrastructure (CNGI) Domain Name System IPv6 Upgrade and Transformation. Wang Lang has an international outlook on Internet governance. He is engaged in Internet governance communities, such as IGF, ITU and IETF. He leads a team to track global Internet governance trends and conducts researches. Currently, he serves as Vice Chair of ICANN Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC), and the term ends in March 2025.
The GAC constitutes the voice of Governments and Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs) in ICANN's multistakeholder structure. The GAC's key role is to provide advice to ICANN on issues of public policy.
