On July 5, 2013, the first meeting of the Fourth Council of Internet Society of China was held in Beijing. HUANG Xiangyang, Director of China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), MAO Wei, Chief Scientist of CNNIC, QIAN Hualin, Consultant of CNNIC, etc., were selected as the Vice Presidents of the Fourth Council.

Academician HU Qiheng, Honorary Chairman of CNNIC Steering Committee, was relieved of her office of President of Internet Society of China. Academician WU Hequan, former Vice President of Chinese Academy of Engineering, was selected as President for the new term.
