On December 17, 2015, the second day of the 2nd World Internet Conference, CNNIC and Zhejiang Provincial Economic and Information Commission held a signing ceremony at a press conference hall in Wuzhen, announcing the establishment of CNNIC Zhejiang Branch. Li Xiaodong, Director of CNNIC and Zhang Jinru, Director of the Commission attended the signing ceremony. 

Zhejiang Province is known for its burgeoning internet industry, and Wuzhen, a scenic town in the province, is now the permanent host of the World Internet Conference.　CNNIC, as the national operator and registry of internet infrastructure resources, will provide strong support for the network information development in Zhejiang, and set an exemplary platform for CNNIC to advance its support for different regions with its first branch set up in Zhejiang.
