Recently, the joint hosts of ICANN 46 meeting——China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC)，China Organizational Name Administration Center (CONAC) and Internet Society of China (ISC) made a welcome speech on ICANN 45 meeting in Toronto. The following is the welcome video from Prof. Tan Tieniu on behalf of CNNIC, who is the Deputy Secretary-General of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Mr. Wang Feng, Vice-Minister of State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform (SCOPSR) and Ms.Hu Qiheng, President of Internet Society of China, representing CONAC and ISC respectively:

ICANN 46 meeting will be held in Beijing during 7-12 April, 2013. It’s the second time that Chinese mainland becomes the host since CNNIC and ISC co-organized the ICANN 14 meeting, Shanghai in October, 2002. The upcoming ICANN 46 meeting in Beijing will strengthen our communication and interaction with global Internet communities.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), founded in 1998, coordinates the Domain Name System (DNS), Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, space allocation, protocol identifier assignment, generic (gTLD) and country code (ccTLD) Top-Level Domain name system management, and root server system management functions.
