From June 4th to 5th , 2012, CNNIC invited the vice president Joao Damas (co-director of CILAB) of Internet Systems Consortium (ISC), Shane Kerr, project manager of next generation DNS server BIND 10, and Mounira Ruma, account manager APAC&MENA regions at ISC to participate in the mid-year work conference of CILAB to draw the conclusion of the work for the first half of 2012 and formulate the future work plan.
During the conference, both parties discussed and were determined to promote the cooperation in F-root mirror deployment in China, .CN and .中国 (.China) nodes construction in North-America, and the plan for the domain name and IP technology training in domestic China; We also exchanged the cooperative issues in the projects including Bind 9, BIND 10 and DHCP. CNNIC will assign more engineers to participate in these projects according to the consensus of the conference. In the technological research aspect, both parties will launch more cooperation in the Internet technical standards; ISC meanwhile displayed the latest RSF (Resiliency and Security Forum)platform.
Joao Damas and Shane Kerr respectively delivered the special reports on “Evolution of DNSSEC in Bind 9” and “The status of Bind10” to the technical departments of CNNIC and made the in-depth discussion in the proposed issues about DNSSEC and Bind10.
The next work conference of CILAB will be held in the ISC headquarter of America.
