On October 17th, according to the USA local time, the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Stewardship Transition Coordination Group (hereinafter referred to as ICG) held the third face to face meeting during the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) 51st Conference in Los Angeles. Researcher LI Xiaodong, head of the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) attended the meeting as member of the ICG.

　　In the meeting, ICG introduced the latest progress of three communities, the addressing and Internet protocol parameter community, the number resource community and the domain name community, participating in the IANA stewardship transition process, and listened to the feedback of different parties on three key documents, i.e. IANA Stewardship Transition Coordination Group Process Timeline, IANA Stewardship Transition Coordination Group Request for Proposals, and Proposal Finalization Process. At the same time, in view of the fact that the Cross Community Working Group to Develop an IANA Stewardship Transition Proposal on Naming Related Functions (CWG) will soon be set up, during the meeting LI Xiaodong and Matin Boyle, from the Country-code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO), Milton Muller, from the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO), were appointed as ICG’s liaisons in the CWG, responsible for reporting back on the CWG’s activities to the wider ICG .

　　In addition, LI Xiaodong attended separate conferences between the ICG and the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC), the ICG and the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) as well. In the meeting, the ICG communicated thoroughly with governments and related communities, in order to jointly propel the IANA stewardship transition process.
