Li Xiaodong Selected as Member of Council on Cyber Security of World Economic Forum

  Recently, Li Xiaodong, head of China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), was selected as member of the Council on Cyber Security of the World Economic Forum (Davos Forum). The Council on Cyber Security consists of 17 members, including Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Kudelski Group Senior Vice President Christophe Nicolas, Black Hat and Def Con Founder Jeffrey Moss, Board FireEye CEO and Chairman Dave DeWalt, Kaspersky Lab CEO and Chairman Eugene Kaspersky. The Council on Cyber Security aims to focus on secure operation of the global network and avoid and mitigate the great risks brought by network security incidents to the world economy through strengthening basic network resource construction, regulating the order of Internet and enhancing the capability of the Internet against risks and crisis in the complicated network environment.

  The World Economic Forum is a Geneva-based non-governmental international institution with an aim of studying and discussing about the problems in the field of world economy as well as promoting international economic cooperation and exchanges. The members of the Forum are over 1,000 top-notch companies which are committed to "improving the state of the world" and influences global economic development in the future. The annual meeting of the forum is commonly known as "Davos Forum" since it is held in Davos of Switzerland.

  Li Xiaodong has been invited to attend the summit on the Global Agenda of the World Economic Forum 2014 that will be held in Dubai of the UAE between November 9 and 11.
